Spectacular. I would love to see them that far north.
Rod Raycroft: When you live in the Auroral Belt as I do the chance to see Aurora is increased for sure. I've a friend who does tours and she tells me she has a success rate of 92% over three nights that her clients will see the Aurora.
Rod Raycroft: Hey Tim thanks for the comment. I visited you blog great images, you've a good eye for subjects. My UK buddies here aren't much for the local teams in Leeds. But ones hoping the Spurs go further this coming year.
Oh, to have the opportunity to take such a shot. Wow. I'm jealous!!! This photo is beautiful. -mary beth
Rod Raycroft: Mary Beth most folks from the lower 48 drive to north each summer to visit Alaska or take an Alaskan Cruise. Most don't know that if you arrive in late August you'll have a good chance to see the Aurora.
Absolutely stunning. I have seen the lights a few times and it never fails too take your breath away.
Rod Raycroft: Thanks Charles. Living in Yukon provides me a great opportunity to photograph these events. I'll be posting more shoots this winter. If you do make it to the norther parts send me an email and I'll send you some tips on capturing the aurora on film or digital.
